Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath commemorated the 99th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee during a visit to Bateshwar village. In his address, he credited Vajpayee for providing stable governance that steered the country away from challenges associated with unstable regimes, praising the late PM’s vision for Uttar Pradesh.

During the event, CM Yogi inaugurated various developmental projects valued at ₹148 crore and announced plans for a potato research center in Agra. He emphasized the distribution of solar pumps to 50,000 farmers over the next two years, aiming to replace diesel pumps and alleviate agricultural costs.

The day’s highlight was the launch of a heliport service for Braj pilgrimage air travel, connecting Agra to Mathura-Vrindavan. Yogi inaugurated the Agra-Mathura heliport service by flagging off a helicopter from Bateshwar to Govardhan.

Acknowledging Bateshwar as Chhoti Kashi, Yogi offered prayers at the Brahmalal temple, unveiled Vajpayee’s statue, and inaugurated a cultural complex named in his honor. Additionally, he opened a three-day tourism and agriculture exhibition at Bateshwar.

Paying tribute to Vajpayee’s leadership, CM Yogi emphasized the significance of stable governance for national prosperity, contrasting it with the challenges faced by Pakistan due to instability, particularly in ensuring basic necessities like food.

Highlighting the transformative changes in Uttar Pradesh, Yogi underscored the state’s progress in education, welfare schemes, and economic development under the double engine regime. He pledged to fulfill Vajpayee’s aspirations for the state.

CM Yogi highlighted ongoing beautification projects at Bateshwar, signaling the state’s commitment to tourism promotion. He announced plans for centennial year celebrations and pledged welfare programs at various levels, emphasizing the effective implementation of PM Narendra Modi’s initiatives.

The event saw the presence of several ministers including Jaivir Singh, Surya Pratap Shahi, Baby Rani Maurya, Dharampal Singh, Dharamveer Prajapati, and Union minister SP Singh Baghel, among others.

The visit underscored the government’s commitment to development, paying homage to Vajpayee’s legacy, and promoting tourism and agricultural initiatives in Uttar Pradesh.
