Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal announced on Tuesday the government's ambitious plan to introduce an ePlatform called 'Trade Connect' to bolster the capabilities of Indian exporters. This platform is envisioned to serve as a vital intermediary, facilitating communication between Indian exporters and various stakeholders in international trade. Goyal emphasized that the Trade Connect ePlatform would play a crucial role in achieving the ambitious $2 trillion export target by 2030.

Chandigarh experienced its coldest day of the winter season as the minimum temperature plummeted to 2.7°C on Tuesday, marking the third consecutive day of cold wave conditions. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported that this is the first time since 2017 that the city's minimum temperature dropped below 3°C. In 2017, it had fallen to 2.4°C on January 11.
