PM Modi Leads 'Swachh Bharat Mission' at Nashik's Kalaram Temple Ahead of National Youth Festival

In a symbolic gesture of commitment to cleanliness and cultural heritage, Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ by cleaning the premises of the historic Kalaram Temple in Maharashtra’s Nashik. This noteworthy event took place following a grand roadshow organized by the Prime Minister in Nashik, leading up to the inauguration of the National Youth Festival.

Accompanied by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, Prime Minister Modi visited the Shree Kalaram Mandir after the roadshow. The Prime Minister actively engaged in the cleanliness drive, showcasing his dedication to the nationwide cleanliness initiative.

During his visit to the temple, a unique blend of cultural and spiritual moments unfolded. Prime Minister Modi was captured sitting at the temple, playing cymbals – a traditional musical instrument. The temple atmosphere resonated with devotional tunes as priests sang Ram Bhajan, and notably, the ‘Yudh Kanda’ segment of Ramayana.

The ‘Yudh Kanda’ segment narrates Lord Rama’s return to Ayodhya, and as a multilingual touch, the verses were sung in Marathi through an AI translation tool, reaching the Prime Minister in Hindi. This cultural convergence emphasized the rich diversity of India’s linguistic heritage.

Beyond the cultural and cleanliness endeavors, Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated Atal Setu, India’s longest sea bridge, in Mumbai. This monumental infrastructure project has been realized at a staggering cost of over ₹17,840 crore, marking a significant milestone in the country’s connectivity and development.

Following these events, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to address a public meeting in Navi Mumbai, providing an opportunity for citizens to witness and engage with the leader on various aspects of governance and national progress.

The combined initiatives of the ‘Swachh Bharat Mission,’ cultural engagements at Kalaram Temple, and infrastructure development with the inauguration of Atal Setu reflect the government’s multifaceted approach towards fostering cleanliness, preserving cultural heritage, and advancing critical infrastructure projects for the nation’s growth.
