Independence Day is not only a celebration of freedom but also of India’s rich identity, traditions and spirit. For designer Rohini Sethi, fashion became a meaningful way to express this national pride.
Rohini had the honour of designing and styling the outfit worn by Aslam Shaikh, senior political leader, four-time MLA from Malad West, former Cabinet Minister of Maharashtra and former Guardian Minister of Mumbai City District, during the 78th Independence Day celebrations hosted by the Bombay Catholic Sabha at Infant Jesus Chapel, Kharodi, Malad West, Mumbai.
As Aslam Shaikh participated in the flag-hoisting ceremony in Rohini’s specially designed ensemble, the occasion beautifully highlighted the connection between fashion, leadership and patriotism. Her work reflected how thoughtful menswear can add dignity and individuality to important national occasions.

For Rohini Sethi, this Independence Day was therefore more than a fashion moment—it was an opportunity to celebrate India through design, elegance and a deep sense of pride.
