Air India Express, a subsidiary of Air India, is set to enhance travel options for passengers with the introduction of non-stop flights from Kolkata to Imphal and Kochi starting this April.

According to airline officials, the new flights will offer daily services to Imphal and six days a week to Kochi, providing travelers with convenient and efficient travel options. The flight schedules are designed to cater to varying travel preferences, ensuring flexibility and ease for passengers.

The non-stop flight from Kolkata to Imphal will depart at 7 am and arrive in the Manipur capital at 8.05 am, with the return flight departing at 8.35 am and landing in Kolkata at 10.20 am. Similarly, the Kolkata-Kochi flight will take off at 11.25 am and reach its destination at 2.35 pm, with the return flight departing at 3.05 pm and landing back in Kolkata at 6.10 pm.

In addition to the new routes, Air India Express has introduced four fare products to enhance customer experience. These include Xpress Lite (cabin baggage only fares), Xpress Value (15 kg check-in bag fares), Xpress Flex (unlimited changes with no change fees), and Xpress Biz (business class seating with complimentary Gourmair meals and priority services).

The introduction of these fare products aligns with Air India Express’s commitment to offering personalized travel experiences, allowing passengers to choose options that best suit their needs. The airline’s Xpress Biz fares, available on new Boeing 737-8 aircraft, provide enhanced benefits such as increased baggage allowances for domestic and international flights.

With a focus on convenience and customer satisfaction, Air India Express aims to disrupt the traditional Low-Cost Carrier (LCC) model with its hybrid offering, providing a comfortable and premium experience for travelers. The airline already operates ‘Biz’ seats across 70 routes in India, connecting major cities like Kolkata with destinations such as Ayodhya, Chennai, Jaipur, Guwahati, and Imphal.

As part of the Tata group, Air India Express operates over 360 daily flights, serving 31 domestic and 14 international airports with a fleet of 67 aircraft, including Boeing 737s and Airbus A320s. The expansion of direct flights from Kolkata to Imphal and Kochi reflects the airline’s commitment to enhancing connectivity and providing efficient travel solutions for passengers across India.
