Union Minister Amit Shah has launched a scathing criticism against the opposition, singling out INDIA (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance) and DMK in Tamil Nadu. During the flagging off ceremony of the “En Mann En Makkal” foot march, a six-month-long padayatra organized by the Tamil Nadu BJP, Shah took a jibe at the opposition parties, stating that their main focus lies in promoting the interests of their own families rather than the welfare of the country.

Amit Shah expressed his disappointment with the intentions of the opposition grouping, highlighting the ambitions of Congress leader Sonia Gandhi to make her son Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister and DMK leader MK Stalin’s desire to see his son Udaynidhi Stalin as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Shah also referred to other leaders like Lalu Yadav, Mamata Banerjee, and Uddhav Thackeray, alleging that they too seek to place their family members in positions of power.

In contrast, Shah commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s unwavering commitment to the betterment of the nation. He asserted that while PM Modi works tirelessly for the country’s progress, the opposition’s focus remains on personal gains and vested interests.

Taking a swipe at the renaming of the opposition bloc as INDIA, Amit Shah dismissed the move, saying that merely changing names does not absolve them of their alleged misdeeds. He further pointed out that the public still remembers various scandals like the 2G scam, Commonwealth Games scam, and coal scam associated with some of the parties in the opposition coalition.

Shifting his attention to the DMK-led government in Tamil Nadu, Amit Shah did not mince words in criticizing the administration. He referred to it as “the most corrupt in the country” and labeled it a “mafia government.” Shah questioned the presence of Senthil Balaji in the cabinet and questioned why his resignation has not been accepted, insinuating possible hidden secrets within the government.

During his address, Amit Shah praised K Annamalai, the Tamil Nadu BJP leader, for his impactful tweet that exposed a scam worth crores. This, he stated, highlighted the government’s failure to fulfill more than 500 promises made by MK Stalin and accused it of perpetuating illegal activities like the wine mafia, sand mafia, and Tamil Nadu Electricity generation and distribution scam.

Shah’s critique comes amidst the ongoing logjam in Parliament, where the opposition’s demand for Prime Minister Modi’s statement on the Manipur issue has caused disruptions. In response, the Congress has moved a no-confidence motion in the Lok Sabha, supported by all INDIA parties, scheduled for consideration in the upcoming week.

As part of efforts to assess the situation in Manipur following a disturbing incident, a delegation of INDIA bloc MPs will be visiting the region. The 20-member delegation includes representatives from various parties and aims to make recommendations to the government based on their findings.

In the midst of intense political tensions and a flurry of accusations, Amit Shah has urged cooperation from the opposition to ensure the smooth functioning of Parliament. The nation watches as the political landscape continues to evolve with parties vying for their agendas, leaving citizens anxious for constructive dialogue and meaningful governance.
