"Tata Motors Launches Environmentally-Friendly Vehicle Scrapping Facility in Surat"

Tata Motors, a frontrunner in India’s automotive industry, has officially inaugurated its third registered vehicle scrapping facility (RVSF) in Surat, adding to the list of facilities in Jaipur and Bhubaneswar. Named “Re.Wi.Re – Recycle with Respect,” this advanced facility is designed to recycle up to 15,000 vehicles annually using environmentally-friendly processes.

Tata Motors, in partnership with Shree Ambica Auto, has established this RVSF to safely and sustainably disassemble end-of-life passenger and commercial vehicles of all brands. The facility signifies Tata Motors’ commitment to responsible and eco-friendly vehicle scrapping practices.

“We are confident that these decentralised facilities will benefit our customers, foster economic growth, generate employment opportunities, and fulfil the need for eco-friendly vehicle scrapping,” remarked a Tata Motors spokesperson.

Re.Wi.Re. is purpose-built to dismantle end-of-life passenger and commercial vehicles from all brands while prioritizing environmentally friendly procedures. The facility is fully digitalized and features dedicated cell-type and line-type dismantling stations for the safe disassembly of various vehicle components, including tires, batteries, fuel, oils, liquids, and gases.

Tata Motors’ expansion of the Re.Wi.Re initiative reinforces its commitment to sustainable practices and responsible recycling in the Indian automotive industry.
