
Hyundai has introduced the i20 N Line facelift to the Indian market, branding it as a “sporty and breathtakingly stunning” car. With a legacy of setting high standards in the premium hatchback segment, the i20 brand continues to make waves with this exciting addition. Tarun Garg, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Hyundai Motor India, expressed the car’s appeal to young Indian buyers aspiring to stand out and leave a lasting impression.
Variants and Pricing: The i20 N Line facelift offers two variants: N6 and N8. The N6 variant is competitively priced at ₹9.99 lakh (ex-showroom), while the N8 variant comes with a price tag of ₹12.32 lakh (ex-showroom).
Design: The car’s design enhancements include a revised grille and headlamps with a new LED signature DRL design. Redesigned bumpers add to its appeal, while minimal changes are noted at the rear. The cabin boasts black interiors with contrasting red inserts, exuding a sporty vibe.
Powertrain: Under the hood, the i20 N Line facelift is equipped with the trusted 1.0-litre Kappa Turbo GDi petrol engine, generating 118 bhp of maximum power and 172 Nm of peak torque. Buyers can choose between a new 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Features: Hyundai offers the hatchback with an array of features, including over 60 connected features, multi-language UI support, 127 embedded voice recognition commands, 52 ‘Hinglish’ voice commands, OTA update compatibility, a 7-speaker Bose sound system, an advanced infotainment system, updated leather upholstery with the ‘N’ logo, a leather-wrapped steering wheel featuring the ‘N’ logo, and ambient red lighting, among others.
Safety Features: Passenger safety is a top priority, with the i20 N Line facelift featuring 35 standard safety elements, such as six airbags, Hill Assist Control (HAC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), disc brakes on all four wheels, three-point seatbelts, seatbelt reminders for all seats, and more. Additionally, the model boasts 40 additional safety features, including a burglar alarm, Emergency Stop Signal, rear parking camera, headlamp escort function, and more.
