"PM Modi Adheres to Strict Rituals, Sleeps on Floor, and Observes Special Diet Ahead of Ram Temple Consecration"

In preparation for the consecration ceremony of the Ayodhya Ram temple scheduled for January 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is rigorously following a set of rules and rituals, sources reveal. The 11-day code involves penance, purification of mind and body through meditation, and adherence to a special “satvik” diet that excludes items such as onion and garlic.

According to sources, Prime Minister Modi is observing “Yam rules” for the rituals, which include sleeping on the floor with only a blanket and consuming only coconut water during this period. These stringent practices are part of the preparation for the consecration of the Ayodhya Ram temple, and PM Modi is personally adhering to these guidelines.

The rituals for the temple consecration commenced on January 12, and on January 22, Prime Minister Modi is expected to perform the puja for the “Pran Pratistha,” where the idol is imbued with divine consciousness. The auspicious time for this ritual is set for 12.30 pm on January 22, as announced by the temple committee.

The Ram Lalla idol, representing Lord Ram at the age of five years and sculpted by Mysuru-based artist Arun Yogiraj in black stone, was transported to the temple and placed in the sanctum sanctorum following a special puja ceremony. The formal installation is anticipated to take place today, according to Shri Ram Mandir Construction Committee chairperson Nripendra Mishra.

Over 11,000 guests from across the country and abroad have been specially invited to witness the consecration ceremony. In light of this significant event, the Central government has announced a half-day closure for all its offices.

In the lead-up to the consecration, Prime Minister Modi has encouraged people to participate in cleanliness drives at temples nationwide. Last week, he actively engaged in the “Swachchata Abhiyan (cleanliness drive)” by cleaning the premises of the Kalaram Temple in Maharashtra’s Nashik.

As the nation anticipates this historic event, Prime Minister Modi’s commitment to following these rituals underscores the significance and reverence attached to the consecration of the Ayodhya Ram temple.
