YouTuber Gaurav Taneja made a jaw-dropping claim during his appearance on the upcoming season of Shark Tank India, leaving the panel of investors stunned. Taneja, known for his massive following and business ventures, shared that his whey protein brand achieved a remarkable Rs 1 crore in sales in just one hour, despite their website being password-protected.
The claim took the show’s investors by surprise, with Aman Gupta exclaiming, “That is a dream for many businesses,” and Vineeta Singh adding, “Oh my God.” Taneja, who has amassed an impressive digital presence with his YouTube channels and Instagram accounts, appeared on the show to pitch his fitness brand, which has gained significant traction among his followers.
Taneja’s primary YouTube channel, Flying Beast, boasts a staggering 9.27 million subscribers, while his Instagram following stands at 3.6 million. His business-focused Instagram page, Beast Life, has already amassed 1.25 lakh followers. The YouTuber’s influence extends far beyond content creation, with his fitness channel FitMuscleTV having over 2.11 million subscribers.
Taneja has also ventured into producing organic ghee made using traditional methods from Gir cows on his farm in Gujarat. While his organic ghee has been well-received, its premium pricing of Rs 1,350 for 500 ml has raised some concerns among his followers. Despite these challenges, Taneja’s business acumen and diverse ventures have established him as a prominent influencer and entrepreneur.
The latest Shark Tank India season is set to be a thrilling one, with new ‘sharks’ joining the panel and heated exchanges, including a banter between returning investor Aman Gupta and newcomer Kunal Bahl. The show promises to showcase the evolving landscape of Indian entrepreneurship, with founders from smaller towns and villages continuing to make their mark. Kunal Bahl remarked, “Startup founders in our country have a certain impression, and you people are shattering it.”
However, not all pitches have impressed the investors. One entrepreneur’s proposal for a Rs 250 crore valuation prompted Aman Gupta to joke, “Hum pagal hain kya? (Are we mad?).” Later, another team presented an even higher valuation of Rs 300 crore, which left the panel in disbelief.
As the show gears up for its fourth season, Taneja’s record-breaking sales claim has undoubtedly set the stage for what promises to be a high-octane season filled with entrepreneurial drama and ambition.
