The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has officially approved the merger of AIX Connect (formerly AirAsia India) with Air India Express (AIX), creating a unified low-cost carrier under the Air India umbrella. The merger ensures that all aircraft from AIX Connect have been transferred onto the Air India Express Air Operator Certificate, allowing seamless operations without disruption.

A SpaceX crew has successfully docked at the International Space Station (ISS) on Sunday, preparing to bring back two astronauts who have been stranded on the station for several months. The Crew-9 mission, aboard a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, made contact with the ISS at 5:30 PM, following its launch from Cape Canaveral, Florida, on Saturday afternoon. The mission aims to ferry NASA astronaut Sunita "Suni" Williams and her fellow astronaut Butch Wilmore back to Earth after their extended stay aboard the ISS.

In a major move to accommodate the growing demand for US visas among Indian travelers, the US Embassy has opened an additional 250,000 visa appointments. This initiative aims to facilitate travel for various categories, including tourists, skilled workers, and students. The decision follows the issuance of a record number of student visas this year, with over 1.4 lakh visas granted in 2023 — the highest for any country globally.
