Swiggy Launches ‘Incognito Mode’ for Private Orders with No Order History

Swiggy Introduces 'Incognito Mode' for Private Orders on Food and Instamart

Online food delivery giant Swiggy has launched a new feature, Incognito Mode, allowing customers to place orders discreetly without leaving a trace in the app’s order history. This feature is available on both Swiggy Food and Instamart, offering users the ability to make private purchases without needing to manually delete them from their history.

Whether it’s ordering a cake for a surprise birthday party or purchasing personal wellness products, the Incognito Mode enables users to maintain privacy over their orders. Once activated, orders placed in this mode will remain hidden from the order history, providing a seamless and discreet shopping experience.

To activate Incognito Mode, users simply need to toggle the feature in their cart before placing an order. A reminder will pop up, confirming the mode is turned on. After delivery, the order remains visible for up to three hours to allow users to track it or address any concerns. After this period, the order is automatically removed from the history, ensuring privacy.

Rohit Kapoor, CEO of Swiggy’s Food Marketplace, emphasized the importance of privacy in today’s social world. “As social as our lives are becoming, there are still things we prefer to keep private, and Incognito Mode is designed to address that need,” Kapoor said. “Whether you’re ordering a meal or making a quick purchase, Incognito Mode ensures your choices remain private.”

Kapoor also announced the feature on his LinkedIn account, sharing a video teaser and commenting, “Error 404: Post not found. Some of you will get to try this. Some of you will have to wait. I wish I could tell you more. But it’s all a bit, #incognito Swiggy.”
