“MoU Signed by Mahindra & Adani Total Energies for EV Charging Stations”

Mahindra & Adani Total Energies Partner to Expand EV Charging Infrastructure in India

In a significant step towards promoting electric vehicle (EV) adoption in India, Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Adani Total Energies E-Mobility Limited (ATEL) to establish an extensive EV charging network across the country. This partnership aims to facilitate seamless access to charging stations and promote the growth of the EV ecosystem.

The MoU between Mahindra & Mahindra and Adani Total Energies sets the groundwork for creating a robust EV charging infrastructure, as highlighted in a media release. This collaboration is strategically important as it combines Mahindra’s expertise in automotive manufacturing, particularly in SUVs, with ATEL’s specialization in energy solutions.

One of the key objectives of this partnership is to offer enhanced services to EV owners, including Mahindra’s XUV400 customers. The integration of more than 1100 chargers on the Bluesense+ App will significantly improve the convenience and accessibility of charging facilities for Mahindra’s EV customers.

Veejay Nakra, President of M&M’s automotive division, emphasized the importance of this alliance in strengthening the EV charging infrastructure and providing customers with a seamless charging experience. He also highlighted Mahindra’s commitment to expanding the EV ecosystem through partnerships with various stakeholders.

Suresh P Manglani, Executive Director & CEO of ATEL, expressed confidence that the collaboration with Mahindra will encourage more customers to embrace EV technology as part of the energy transition. He emphasized the role of such initiatives in reducing carbon emissions and supporting India’s climate action goals.

The partnership between Mahindra and ATEL aligns with global commitments made at COP26 to reduce carbon emissions and promote sustainable transportation solutions. It reflects the collective effort required to decarbonize the transportation sector and move towards a cleaner, more sustainable future.

The collaboration between Mahindra & Mahindra and Adani Total Energies signifies a proactive approach to advancing EV infrastructure in India. By expanding the EV charging network and offering comprehensive e-mobility solutions, the partnership aims to accelerate the transition towards electric vehicles and contribute to environmental sustainability.
