Infosys Set to Award Performance Bonuses of Up to 85% to Junior and Mid-Level Staff: Report

Infosys, the tech giant, has announced a significant performance bonus for eligible employees for the second quarter ending in September. Junior and mid-level employees in the company’s delivery and sales verticals stand to receive a performance bonus of up to 85%, to be paid alongside their November payout.

According to reports, an email detailing the bonus was sent to the eligible employees, highlighting the company’s strong Q2 performance. The bonus is aligned with Infosys’ goal of fostering a high-performance work culture. In the communication, the Human Resources (HR) department expressed gratitude for the unwavering dedication of employees, emphasizing the role of their efforts in driving the company’s market leadership, strong margin performance, and expertise in emerging technologies like Cloud and Generative AI.

The performance bonus has seen a steady increase in recent quarters. The company awarded a 60% bonus for Q4 of the last financial year and 80% for Q1 of the current term, with this latest payout surpassing the previous amounts.

This bonus payout is notably higher than that offered by Infosys’ competitor, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), which provided its employees an average bonus of 50 to 60%, generally tied to office attendance.

Bonus Not Linked to Return-to-Office Policy

The performance bonus will be granted independently of Infosys’ return-to-office policy, which requires employees to work from the office for at least 10 days a month under its hybrid work model. Additionally, the company announced it would extend salary hikes to all employees by April 2025, following delays in previous years.

Infosys also reported impressive financial results for Q2, with a 4.7% year-on-year increase in net profit, which rose to Rs. 6,506 crore. Revenue also saw a growth of 5.1%, reaching Rs. 40,986 crore. Based on this strong performance, the company has upgraded its full-year growth forecast for FY25 to a range of 3.75% to 4.5%.

As Infosys continues to focus on performance and employee satisfaction, this generous bonus distribution underscores the company’s commitment to rewarding its workforce for their contributions to its ongoing success.
