From Struggle to Impact: The Inspiring Journey of Manish Singh

Building opportunities through education, entrepreneurship and social impact

Success rarely begins with success. For Manish Singh, Founder & Managing Director of Trust Educom, the journey began with a dream, continued through repeated failures and financial challenges, and eventually evolved into a mission to create opportunities for others.

From his student days, Manish Singh had a clear ambition: he wanted to become an entrepreneur. But his vision was never limited to earning for himself. He wanted to build something that could create jobs, income opportunities and a better future for other people.

A Dream That Began Early

Growing up, Singh’s entrepreneurial ambitions were not always understood by those around him. His family believed strongly in the conventional path of education, graduation and a secure career. His father emphasized the importance of completing formal education, while Singh remained determined to explore entrepreneurship and build something of his own.

Instead of allowing the doubts around him to define his future, he turned them into motivation.

His early entrepreneurial journey was anything but easy. He experimented with several businesses and occupations, including the clothing business, disposable plate and bowl business, sales and other small ventures.

There was even a period when he went door to door selling phenyl.

Some ventures failed. Some resulted in financial losses. At one point, investments in different businesses placed him under significant financial pressure and debt.

There were also personal setbacks. Friendships changed, misunderstandings developed, and people questioned whether his ambitions would ever become reality. The repeated failures eventually brought him to a point where he began doubting himself.

But he chose to start again.

The Turning Point: 2017

A significant turning point came around 2017, when Singh began working with friends on skill-development projects that provided free computer education to students.

The experience gave him an important insight into the education sector.

He observed that simply providing education free of cost was not always enough. Student commitment, attendance, quality, accountability and a sustainable educational model were equally important.

Challenges related to attendance and project requirements also resulted in financial losses, but the experience eventually became the foundation for his next venture.

Rather than walking away from education, Singh decided to build his own model.

From Five Courses to Trust Educom

In 2017, Singh started his education initiative with approximately five courses.

The response encouraged him to expand.

Five courses gradually became many more, and in 2020, the venture was given a more formal corporate structure and developed under the brand Trust Educom.

Today, according to the organization, Trust Educom offers 100+ courses, has built a network of 170+ franchises across India, and has reached lakhs of students and learners through its education and skill-development ecosystem.

For Singh, however, these numbers represent more than business expansion. They reflect the original vision he carried from his younger years—to create a system through which other people could learn, grow and find opportunities.

Beyond Business: Trust Foundation

Singh’s journey also expanded beyond entrepreneurship.

Through Trust Foundation, he has worked toward creating social impact and supporting communities through education, empowerment and other welfare-oriented initiatives.

His philosophy is that the true value of an organization should not be measured only by its revenue or size, but also by the opportunities and positive change it creates for people.

In 2023, Singh received the Karmveer Samman, marking another milestone in his professional and social-impact journey.

The Next Vision: TWIST

After building an ecosystem around education and social initiatives, Singh is now working toward another vision—TWIST, a platform focused on talent and skill development.

The idea behind TWIST is based on a simple belief:

Every child and every young person has talent, but not everyone gets the right platform to discover and showcase it.

Through TWIST, Singh aims to connect talent with training, practical exposure, recognition and opportunities—helping young people transform their abilities into meaningful careers and futures.

Turning Setbacks Into a Mission

The journey of Manish Singh is not simply a story of building an organization.

It is a journey from selling products door to door to building an education network; from financial setbacks and repeated failures to creating opportunities for others; and from being doubted to developing a larger vision for education, talent and social impact.

His story carries one central message:

“Success is not just about how far you go in life; it is about how many people get an opportunity to move forward because of the path you created.”

For Manish Singh, the journey is still continuing—and the vision is no longer simply to build a successful business, but to build platforms that can help others create their own success.
