Tesla CEO Elon Musk has reacted for the first time after conservative influencer Ashley St Clair publicly claimed that he is the father of her five-month-old baby.
Musk responded with a simple “Whoa” on X (formerly Twitter) to a post suggesting that St Clair had been planning for years to have his child. His reaction came after the 26-year-old influencer made a surprising announcement on Friday, stating, “Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father,” adding the Latin phrase Alea iacta est (The die is cast).
St Clair Goes Public Amid Tabloid Pressure
In her announcement, St Clair claimed she had initially chosen to keep the information private for the safety of her child but decided to go public after learning that tabloids were preparing to break the story.
“I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child’s privacy and safety, but in recent days, it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause,” she wrote.
Following Musk’s brief online reaction, St Clair criticized him for engaging with public speculation instead of directly addressing her.
“Elon, we have been trying to communicate for the past several days, and you have not responded. When are you going to reply to us instead of publicly responding to smears from an individual who just posted photos of me in underwear at 15 years old?” she wrote in a now-deleted post.
Co-Parenting Agreement Underway
St Clair’s representative, Brian Glicklich, later confirmed that she and Musk had been privately working on an agreement regarding co-parenting.
“We are waiting for Elon to publicly acknowledge his parental role with Ashley, to end unwarranted speculation, and Ashley trusts that Elon intends to finish their agreement quickly, in the best interests of the wellbeing and security of the child they share,” Glicklich said in a statement.
Additionally, St Clair accused Musk of engaging with an X user who had shared inappropriate images of her as a minor. According to People Magazine, she provided screenshots claiming that X’s safety team had temporarily restricted the account for posting non-consensual images.
Musk’s Expanding Family
Ashley St Clair also alleged that Musk had recently asked her to have more children but was now avoiding direct communication.
Elon Musk, 52, already has 12 children with three women. He shares five children with his first wife, Justine Wilson—twins Vivian and Griffin, and triplets Kai, Saxon, and Damian. He has three children with musician Grimes: X, Exa Dark Sideræl, and Techno Mechanicus. Additionally, he shares twins Strider and Azure with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis.
