Vizag Businessman Donates ₹1 Crore to TTD's Sri Venkateswara Anna Prasadam Trust

A Vizag-based businessman, Srinivasa Rao, made a significant contribution to the Sri Venkateswara Anna Prasadam Trust, a key initiative run by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) that serves free meals to devotees. Rao, who is involved in the mining and infrastructure business, donated ₹1 crore to the trust on Saturday.

The donation was handed over to TTD chairman B R Naidu in the form of a demand draft (DD) at his camp office in Tirumala. The funds will help support the ongoing efforts of the trust, which relies on donations from around the world to provide free food to thousands of devotees visiting the sacred Tirumala shrine.

According to a statement released by TTD, the Sri Venkateswara Anna Prasadam Trust deposits the donations in nationalised banks, using the interest earned to cover the costs of providing three meals and beverages daily to devotees. This model allows the trust to continue its noble service to pilgrims without relying on additional funding sources.

The trust’s operations are crucial for maintaining the tradition of offering free meals to all visitors, in line with the mission of the TTD to serve the spiritual needs of devotees. Rao’s generous donation comes at a time when the trust continues to serve a growing number of pilgrims each day.

This contribution from Srinivasa Rao is being hailed as an example of philanthropy and community service, with many praising his commitment to supporting the welfare of devotees who visit the revered Sri Venkateswara Temple.
