British-Pakistani Social Media Personality and Mother Convicted for Orchestrating Deadly Car Accident.

British-Pakistani TikTok Influencer and Mother Found Guilty of Engineering Fatal Car Crash

In a shocking and tragic case, a former TikTok influencer and her mother have been convicted of engineering a fatal car crash that claimed the lives of two young men. Mahek Bukhari, 24, and her mother, Ansreen Bukhari, 46, along with other defendants, were found guilty of causing the death of Saqib Hussain and Hashim Ijazuddin, both 21, by intentionally ramming their car off the road in February 2022.

The trial, held at Leicester Crown Court, unveiled a harrowing tale of revenge and jealousy. The prosecution revealed that Mahek, a British Pakistani social media influencer, and her mother, Ansreen, allegedly lured Saqib Hussain to a car park to confront him about the sexual photos and videos he possessed of Ansreen, with whom he had been having an affair for nearly three years. Threatened by Hussain’s intent to expose the affair, the defendants hatched a deadly plan.

As Hussain and Ijazuddin attempted to escape, they were relentlessly pursued by two vehicles driven by the other defendants, Rekhan Karwan and Raees Jamal, at speeds exceeding 100mph. Tragically, the pursuers succeeded in ramming the victims’ car off the road, causing it to split in two and burst into flames upon impact with a tree.

In a heart-wrenching emergency call made just moments before the crash, Hussain pleaded for help, stating, “There’s guys following me. They’ve got balaclavas on. They’re trying to ram me off the road. They’re trying to kill me – I’m going to die.”

Following a grueling three-month trial, the jury deliberated for 28 hours before reaching the verdict. Rekhan Karwan and Raees Jamal were found guilty of murder, while Natasha Akhtar, Ameer Jamal, and Sanaf Gulamustafa were convicted of manslaughter. Another co-accused, Mohammed Patel, was acquitted of all charges.

During the investigation, it was revealed that Ansreen Bukhari had decided to end her relationship with Hussain, but he refused to accept the breakup. His alleged threats to expose the affair and share explicit images and videos of Ansreen Bukhari to her husband became the catalyst for the deadly scheme.

The defendants have been forewarned by Judge Timothy Spencer KC that they would face severe sentencing. The court is scheduled to announce the sentences on September 1st.

This tragic incident has left families devastated and serves as a grim reminder of the dark consequences of jealousy, revenge, and senseless violence. As the case reaches its conclusion, it raises awareness of the importance of resolving conflicts through peaceful means and addressing emotional turmoil in a constructive manner.
