Adani Airport Holdings Ltd. (AAHL) on Thursday announced the immediate termination of its partnership with DragonPass, a China-based global airport lounge and travel services provider. The move effectively bars DragonPass customers from accessing airport lounges across all Adani-managed airports in India.
In a statement, the company said: “Our association with DragonPass, which provided access to airport lounges, has been terminated with immediate effect. DragonPass customers will no longer have access to lounges at Adani-managed airports. This change will have no impact on the airport lounge and travel experience for other customers.”
Adani Airports operates seven key airports across India — including those in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram, and Mangaluru — under public-private partnership agreements with the Airports Authority of India (AAI). The group has been pushing modernisation efforts and enhancing passenger experiences at these locations.
While the company did not cite specific reasons for ending the deal, the announcement comes notably just a week after Adani Digital Labs (ADL) — the group’s digital innovation arm — publicised a collaboration with DragonPass on May 8. That partnership was pitched as a strategic move to enhance digital travel services, promoting a cashless experience and offering tailored solutions to both leisure and business travellers at Adani-managed airports.
DragonPass, headquartered in Guangzhou, China, offers access to over 1,300 airport lounges globally and provides additional services such as airport dining discounts, limousine bookings, and personalized meet-and-greet facilities.
With the sudden termination of the partnership, DragonPass customers will need to seek alternative lounge access options when flying through Adani-operated airports.
