Indian-Origin CEO Celebrates Halloween as Mark Zuckerberg, While Facebook’s Founder Opts for a John Wick Costume

Indian-Origin CEO Dresses Up as Mark Zuckerberg for Halloween, While Meta's Founder Channels John Wick

In a playful twist on Halloween, Aravind Srinivas, the Indian-origin CEO of Perplexity AI, donned the iconic look of fellow Silicon Valley entrepreneur Mark Zuckerberg. As the spooky holiday swept through the tech hub, Srinivas joined a host of industry leaders who showcased their creativity with unique costumes.

Srinivas shared a photo of himself on X (formerly Twitter) dressed in a casual ensemble that included a black t-shirt, denim jeans, dark sunglasses, and a silver chain—an outfit that perfectly mirrored Zuckerberg’s signature daily attire. The San Francisco-based tech CEO, an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), hinted at his future plans, promising to dress as OpenAI CEO Sam Altman for next year’s Halloween celebrations.

Comments on his post reflected a mix of admiration and humor, with one user stating, “Bro rocking it harder than Zuck himself,” while others joked about the resemblance between Srinivas and Zuckerberg.

In a surprising parallel, Mark Zuckerberg himself celebrated the holiday in a striking costume of his own, choosing to embody the character of John Wick from the popular film series. However, many viewers playfully suggested that Zuckerberg’s look resembled that of Severus Snape from the Harry Potter franchise. “When your house full of girls decides to be ballerinas, be John Wick,” Zuckerberg captioned his post on X, showcasing his outfit complete with a black blazer and a wig reminiscent of actor Keanu Reeves.

Halloween, which takes place on October 31st, has deep historical roots in the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain. Over the years, it has evolved into a festive occasion, particularly in the United States and Canada, where people celebrate by dressing up in costumes, hosting parties, and partaking in traditional activities like trick-or-treating and pumpkin carving.
