“Bengaluru Man Receives Laptop at Starbucks in 13 Minutes Thanks to Flipkart”

In a remarkable demonstration of the rapid advancements in quick commerce, a Bengaluru resident received a laptop at a Starbucks outlet in just 13 minutes, thanks to Flipkart Minutes, a new service recently launched in select areas of the city.

Sunny Gupta, the Bengaluru man who achieved this feat, shared his experience on X (formerly known as Twitter), where his post quickly went viral. Gupta detailed how he ordered an Acer Predator laptop using Flipkart Minutes, a service that claims to offer faster delivery times and lower prices compared to competitors like Blinkit and Swiggy Instamart.

According to Gupta’s post, he placed the order and received the laptop within 13 minutes, despite an initial delay notification that extended the expected delivery time from 7 to 12 minutes. The delivery partner reached the Starbucks outlet where Gupta was seated, and the transaction was completed swiftly after OTP verification.

Flipkart Minutes, which recently debuted in Bengaluru, focuses on delivering a wide range of products, including high-end gadgets like laptops, which are typically not available on other quick commerce platforms such as Big Basket Now or Zepto. The service’s promise of fast delivery and competitive pricing has quickly garnered attention.

Gupta’s experience has sparked a range of reactions online. Some users expressed amazement at the speed of delivery, while others questioned the necessity of such rapid service for high-cost items like laptops. One user commented, “Can’t believe Flipkart is delivering super fast now! I actually stopped ordering from them after it took 15 days to deliver a phone that was supposed to arrive in 4. Guess competition really does work wonders!”

Conversely, others were skeptical, with some arguing that quick commerce might be an overhyped concept. “In 7 minutes you can go to a store; I don’t understand this hype of quick commerce,” one user wrote.
