Pranjali Awasthi, a remarkable 16-year-old tech genius from India, is turning heads in the technology world with her startup, Delv.AI. In just a short span since its launch in January 2022, Delv.AI has already secured ₹3.7 crore in funding, and the company’s valuation has surged to an impressive ₹100 crore.

Pranjali Awasthi’s journey into the world of technology began at a young age, and she attributes her father, an engineer, as her primary source of inspiration for her entrepreneurial endeavors. She shared with Business Insider that her father’s passion for technology and values instilled in her the drive to start coding at the tender age of 7.

Awasthi’s pursuit of technology took a significant turn when, at the age of 11, she and her family moved to Florida from India. This transition exposed her to the world of computer science and competitive mathematics, setting the stage for her extraordinary journey.

By the age of 13, Pranjali was interning in university research labs at Florida International University, actively engaged in machine learning projects while simultaneously attending school. The COVID-19 pandemic further fueled her dedication to technology, as her school transitioned to virtual learning. During this time, she committed up to 20 hours a week to her internships.

It was during her internship experiences that she began to contemplate how artificial intelligence (AI) could address various challenges. The concept of Delv.AI was born out of these musings.

In 2021, Pranjali achieved a significant milestone by securing a spot in an AI startup accelerator program in Miami, facilitated by tech enthusiasts Lucy Guo and Dave Fontenot from Backend Capital. In exchange for a share of her future company, she temporarily stepped away from high school to dedicate herself fully to her entrepreneurial journey.

The accelerator program served as the launchpad for Delv.AI, facilitating investments from renowned entities, including On Deck and Village Global.

Pranjali Awasthi elucidated that Delv.AI’s primary objective is to assist researchers in accessing specific information within the vast realm of online content. The startup has raised a substantial $450,000 (approximately ₹3.7 crore) in funding and now proudly boasts an approximate valuation of $12 million (₹100 crore).

This remarkable achievement underscores the immense potential of young talent and the transformative power of technology to shape the future. Pranjali Awasthi’s story serves as an inspiration, highlighting the boundless opportunities in the tech industry and the capacity for innovation and success at any age. With Delv.AI’s innovative solutions, the future of data extraction for research looks promising.
