17-Year-Old Bihar Boy's AI Startup 'FarmEye' Bags Rs. 50 Lakh Valuation, Shakes Up AgriTech

Samastipur, Bihar – At just 17 years old, Ram Jee Raj, a student from a small village in Bihar, has achieved what many seasoned entrepreneurs dream of—his AI startup, FarmEye, has been valued at Rs. 50 lakhs by a Delhi-based investor.

Ram Jee’s journey began in the most unexpected way—during the COVID-19 lockdown. With schools shut and little to do, he turned to YouTube for learning. That’s where he discovered coding. Intrigued, he began exploring programming with just a second-hand laptop and limited internet access.

“I didn’t know anything about tech back then,” he recalls. “But once I started coding, I knew this was something I wanted to do for life.”

He taught himself Python, machine learning, and computer vision—entirely through free resources. But his goal wasn’t just to learn; it was to solve real-world problems.
