Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has reported a significant 40% year-on-year growth in sales for the month of June, marking its highest-ever monthly sales performance. The company sold 27,474 units compared to 19,608 units in June last year. Additionally, TKM exported 1,722 units during the same period.
The first half of Calendar Year 2024 has also shown robust growth for Toyota, with sales totaling 1,50,250 units, up from 1,02,371 units in the first half of 2023, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 47%. This growth underscores Toyota’s strong market presence and consumer confidence in its products.
Speaking on the achievement, a spokesperson from Kirloskar Motor highlighted, “Our product strategy and commitment to delivering a superior ownership experience have contributed to this consistent growth. The launch of our Urban Cruiser Taisor has been particularly successful, with orders doubling month-on-month. This model’s popularity in the SUV segment showcases Toyota’s expanding footprint and customer appeal.”
The Urban Cruiser Taisor offers versatility with three engine options – 1.0L Turbo, 1.2L Petrol, and E-CNG, combining style, performance, and fuel efficiency. Backed by Toyota’s renowned value-added services tailored for Indian consumers, the SUV has resonated well in both urban and rural markets.
Furthermore, TKM has strengthened its presence in rural areas, diversifying its customer base and driving substantial sales momentum. The company’s strategic initiatives include the recent launch of the Toyota Used Car Outlet (TUCO) in New Delhi under the brand “Toyota U-Trust.” This initiative aims to provide customers with high-quality, reliable used cars, ensuring transparency and convenience throughout the buying and selling process.
