The Indian government has taken significant steps to strengthen consumer rights in the ride-hailing sector by mandating Ola, the cab aggregator led by Bhavish Aggarwal, to implement new refund policies and provide receipts for auto rides. This directive comes from the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.

In a recent announcement, Ola co-founder Bhavish Aggarwal revealed that the popular ride-hailing and electric vehicle (EV) company Ola will be transitioning from Microsoft Azure to its proprietary Krutrim Cloud. This decision comes in the wake of a controversy involving LinkedIn, a professional networking platform owned by Microsoft, and Aggarwal's critical posts being removed.
