The issue was tracked by Downdetector, which reported over 70,000 outage reports, primarily from Reddit users in the US. The outage left many unable to access both the website and mobile app, disrupting the usual activity on the platform.

Social media platforms Facebook and Instagram, owned by Meta Platforms Inc., faced a widespread outage affecting thousands of users globally. According to reports from the outage tracking website Downdetector, over 18,000 users reported issues accessing Instagram during the outage period.
