IndiGo, India’s largest airline, is celebrating its 18th anniversary with an 18% discount on flights and the introduction of a new business class product called ‘IndiGo Stretch’. The discount is available for bookings made through the IndiGo website and app using the code HAPPY18, valid until August 8, 2024.
The new business class offering, ‘IndiGo Stretch’, will be available from mid-November and will cover 12 routes, including major cities such as Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Mumbai. Starting fares for this premium service will be ₹18,018, with meals provided by Oberoi Hotels. This new product aims to cater to the growing segment of domestic premium travelers.
IndiGo’s announcement also includes the launch of its “Bluchip” loyalty program, set to begin in September. The new initiative aligns with IndiGo’s strategy to enhance its premium offerings and attract a higher number of business travelers.
This promotional move follows a recent financial performance update from InterGlobe Aviation Ltd, IndiGo’s parent company. For the first quarter of 2024-25, the company reported a 12% decline in net profit to ₹2,729 crore, despite a 17% increase in revenue from operations to ₹19,571 crore. EBITDA rose by 4% to ₹5,160 crore, but the EBITDA margin fell to 26.4%.
