FlixBus, the global leader in travel technology, has officially entered the Indian market, aiming to revolutionize intercity passenger transportation. With a network spanning 42 countries, FlixBus has now set its sights on India, the second-largest bus market globally. The company plans to provide convenient travel options at competitive prices while maintaining top-tier safety standards.

André Schwämmlein, CEO of Flix, expressed enthusiasm about expanding FlixBus into India, marking the company’s presence in its 43rd country. He highlighted the alignment of FlixBus’s mission with India’s pursuit of sustainable, safe, and affordable travel options for all.

Surya Khurana, Managing Director of FlixBus India, shared excitement about introducing the services in India, emphasizing a commitment to safety, comfort, and cost-effective journeys. The success of FlixBus in India will hinge on collaboration with local operators, focusing on growth, efficiency, and championing shared mobility to reduce congestion and emissions.

FlixBus will target major cities and routes across New Delhi, Himachal, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh. The company’s inaugural routes are set to commence from February 6, offering a special launch price of just ₹99. These routes will connect Delhi with key destinations such as Ayodhya, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Manali, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Ajmer, Katra, Dehradun, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Jodhpur, Dharamshala, Lucknow, and Amritsar.

As of February 1, FlixBus India tickets have been made available, providing travelers with affordable and efficient options for intercity travel. The network will encompass 59 stops and over 200 connections, making FlixBus a significant player in India’s rapidly evolving transportation landscape.

FlixBus’s entry into the Indian market signifies a new era in travel options, with the company’s global expertise and commitment to safety contributing to the transformation of the intercity travel experience in the country.
