Elon Musk Purchases $35 Million Estate to Accommodate His 11 Children and Their Mothers

Elon Musk Acquires $35 Million Mansion to Create a Unique Family Environment for His 11 Children and Their Mothers

Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk is making headlines once again, this time for his unconventional approach to family life. The Tesla and SpaceX CEO has reportedly purchased a lavish $35 million mansion in Austin, Texas, aimed at housing all 11 of his children and their mothers. According to a report from The New York Times, the sprawling 14,400-square-foot property features a Tuscan-inspired design and is conveniently located just 10 minutes away from Musk’s existing Texas residence.

Musk’s vision for this unique living arrangement is to foster closer connections among his children and allow for better scheduling of his time with them. His unconventional family dynamics come in the wake of having fathered 12 children since 2002. Unfortunately, his first child with ex-wife Justine Musk tragically passed away from sudden infant death syndrome at just 10 weeks old.

After the couple divorced in 2008, Musk and Justine welcomed five children through in vitro fertilization: twins Griffin and Vivian, followed by triplets Saxon, Damian, and Kai. Musk then entered a public relationship with British actress Talulah Riley, whom he married and divorced twice, although they did not have any children together.

In more recent years, Musk has expanded his family with musician Grimes, with whom he shares three children. They are known as “X” (officially named X Æ A-12), “Y,” and “Techno Mechanicus,” often referred to as “Tau.” Musk and Grimes are currently embroiled in a legal battle regarding custody arrangements.

Musk’s most recent family addition includes twins born in 2021 with Shivon Zillis, an executive at his brain technology startup, Neuralink. Earlier this year, Musk confirmed that they had welcomed a third child together.

As he embarks on this new chapter in his life, Musk’s plans to consolidate his family under one roof have raised eyebrows but also sparked conversations about modern family dynamics in the context of wealth and celebrity.
