Dubai Police Adds Tesla Cybertruck to Luxury Patrol Fleet, Elon Musk Reacts

The Dubai Police General Command has recently announced the addition of the all-electric Tesla Cybertruck to its tourist police luxury patrol fleet. The Cybertruck, known for its futuristic design and cutting-edge technology, will now patrol the streets of Dubai alongside the department’s impressive collection of high-performance vehicles.

“The Dubai Police General Command has added the Tesla Cybertruck, the modern electric car with a futuristic design, to its tourist police luxury patrol fleet,” the Dubai Police stated in a post on X, sharing images of the new addition. The vehicle features a green and white wrap, matching the country’s current police cruisers, and prominently displays the Dubai Police logo on its hood.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk responded to the announcement with a succinct, “Cool,” accompanied by a smiling face with sunglasses emoji. The official Cybertruck account also commented, “Very cool to see – thanks for the trust.”

The Cybertruck joins an elite lineup of Dubai Police patrol vehicles, which includes the Bugatti Veyron, Lamborghini Urus Performante, Aventador, Audi R8 Coupe V10, Bentley Continental GT, McLaren MP4-12C, Aston Martin One-77, Mercedes-AMG GT63 S, and Maserati GranTurismo.

Social media reactions to the announcement have been overwhelmingly positive. One user wrote, “This is awesome and should come as no surprise. Dubai makes wonderful decisions. Cybertruck is built like X. The everything truck!!” Another commented, “Dubai Police’s addition of the Tesla Cybertruck to their fleet is impressive! Combining cutting-edge technology with sustainability sets a great example for modern policing.”

The Tesla Cybertruck, constructed from stainless steel used in rockets, boasts a unique geometric design. According to Tesla’s website, the truck offers “better utility than a truck with more performance than a sports car.” It has a range of 250–500 miles (400–800 km) and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.9–6.5 seconds. The higher-end version of the Cybertruck is priced at $99,990 (Rs 83,29,052) in the U.S., with deliveries currently limited to the country.

The demand for the Cybertruck has surged due to its futuristic design, aesthetic appeal, and functionality. Additionally, the growing consumer shift towards sustainable and eco-friendly transportation solutions has significantly contributed to the Cybertruck’s popularity. The vehicle has also gained status as a symbol of luxury, with many celebrities sharing pictures of it on social media. Last month, Saudi Prince Turki bin Salman Al Saud purchased a Cybertruck, a photo of which went viral on social media.
