From Bengaluru to a Multi-State Expansion: High Laban Bets Big on Egyptian Desserts in India

Bengaluru: What began as an idea between three friends, Nishan, Marshad and Nufoor, is quickly developing into an ambitious food brand. High Laban, an Egyptian dessert concept launched in Bengaluru in February 2026, is bringing a new category of Egyptian-inspired desserts to the Indian market.

Starting with its first Bengaluru outlet, High Laban says it sold nearly 10,000 dessert portions within its first three months, giving the founders confidence to expand the concept.

Today, High Laban operates with a central kitchen in Bengaluru, alongside its growing outlet and franchise network in the city.

The next phase is already underway. High Laban’s Kerala master franchise has been taken, with plans to launch six outlets across Kerala within the next two months.

At the same time, the founders are continuing to expand across Bengaluru, with a long-term vision of building 30+ outlets across the city.

Beyond Bengaluru and Kerala, High Laban is actively looking for expansion opportunities and franchise partners in Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad and Tamil Nadu, as the founders work towards taking the Egyptian dessert concept to multiple Indian markets.

For Nishan, Marshad and Nufoor, the vision is bigger than building another dessert chain. The trio wants High Laban to become a recognizable destination for Egyptian desserts in India, combining authentic inspiration with flavours and formats suited to the Indian market.

From one Bengaluru outlet to an expanding franchise network in a matter of months, High Laban’s early journey reflects the three founders’ larger ambition: to build an Egyptian dessert brand from Bengaluru for the rest of India.
