Joe’s contributions to the dub scene have been significant. One of his key early achievements was digitizing vintage multitrack tapes from the Ariwa vaults, which helped reinvigorate the live dub format and attract new audiences. As a producer and collaborator, Joe has made a name for himself with his fresh take on dub. His discography spans dub, dubstep, reggae, jungle, and drum & bass, with notable releases like the “Dubstep Dub series” and “Rewired for Dub series” with Mad Professor. Joe’s youthful ear and innovative approach have caught the attention of elite UK sound systems and veterans like Dennis Bovell and Blacker Dread.

In recent years, Joe has expanded his creative horizons, producing vocalists and MCs, and entering the drum & bass circuit. His collaboration with General Levy on the album “Be Conscious & Wise” was a pivotal moment, leading to extensive tours across the UK, Europe, Brazil, and The Gambia. Joe’s production skills were also showcased on Randy Valentine’s acclaimed album “Still Pushing.”

As the leader of the modern version of The Robotiks, Ariwa’s legendary house band, Joe has backed reggae icons like U Roy, Big Youth, and General Levy. He plays a central role in managing the Ariwa label, handling everything from mixing and engineering to stock control and vinyl distribution.

With the re-launch of the Ariwa Posse, an umbrella project supporting new talent, Joe is committed to nurturing the next generation of artists. Recent production highlights include tracks with Abel Miller, Amarra, Askala Selassie, and I Jah, demonstrating Joe’s continued innovation and dedication to the dub scene.
