The much-awaited India International Trade Fair (IITF) is back in Delhi with a grander and more expansive setup this year, welcoming visitors to experience the vibrant cultural heritage, art, and innovation from across India and beyond. Set against the theme of Viksit Bharat @2047, this year’s edition promises to be a larger-than-life event, offering a spectacular showcase of India’s diverse heritage and the global cultural exchange.
Event Highlights: The trade fair, which opens its doors on November 14, is being held at the newly built Bharat Mandapam Complex at Pragati Maidan. Spread over a vast area of approximately 107,000 square meters, the venue has been designed to accommodate a larger number of exhibitors and visitors. Over 3,500 exhibitors from India and overseas are set to participate, with projections indicating up to 100,000 visitors a day.
This year, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh are the Partner States, while Jharkhand is the Focus State. In total, 33 states and Union Territories will be displaying their cultural richness, giving visitors a unique opportunity to witness the diverse art forms, crafts, and traditions of India. The fair is set to be an important platform for promoting local artisans and businesses, boosting the country’s trade and tourism.
International Participation: For those intrigued by international exhibitors, IITF is featuring 11 foreign countries, including Egypt, Iran, South Korea, Sweden, Tunisia, and the UAE. These nations will present a wide range of cultural exhibits, fostering a spirit of global cooperation and exchange. The international participation underscores the growing importance of the fair as a global platform for trade, culture, and business.
A Larger, More Accessible Venue: Shankra Nand Bharti, the General Manager of Administration, highlighted that this year’s fair is being organized on a much larger scale compared to previous years. The new Bharat Mandapam Complex provides ample space for exhibitors, with state-of-the-art facilities to enhance both the exhibitor and visitor experience. The location is easily accessible, with the nearest metro station being Supreme Court; however, attendees should note that tickets will not be available at the venue or metro station for entry to avoid crowding.
Ticketing and Access: In line with past practices, visitors can purchase tickets from 55 designated metro stations around the city. Additionally, tickets are available online via multiple platforms, including the Bharat Mandapam Mobile App, the DMRC App (Momentum 2.0), the official ITPO website (www.indiatradefair.com), and the DMRC website. This digital ticketing system ensures a smooth and hassle-free experience for attendees, preventing congestion at entry points.
The IITF is a significant event for business, trade, and cultural enthusiasts alike, and with the expanded space, increased international participation, and accessible ticketing options, this year’s fair promises to be an event to remember.
Whether you’re looking to explore the best of India’s diverse arts, connect with international exhibitors, or explore new business opportunities, the India International Trade Fair at Bharat Mandapam is the place to be this November.
