Global travel-tech unicorn OYO has appointed Sonal Sinha as the Chief Executive Officer of G6 Hospitality, the American motel firm it recently acquired from Blackstone Real Estate. The acquisition, completed in December 2024, added 1,500 franchised hotels across the United States and Canada to OYO’s portfolio, significantly strengthening its presence in North America.

OYO founder and CEO Ritesh Agarwal recently revealed that he still cleans washrooms in his hotels as part of a "role-modelling exercise" to instill humility and break societal conditioning about work. Speaking at the Mumbai Tech Week on March 1, Agarwal emphasized that fear, embarrassment, pride, and arrogance are the biggest obstacles to entrepreneurial success.
