This move is part of a broader strategy to attract investments and promote the adoption of EVs in the country.

Ashok Leyland, a major commercial vehicle manufacturer, is set to build an electric bus manufacturing facility in Uttar Pradesh, with a potential location in Lucknow. The MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, aiming to commence operations within 18 months, initially producing 2,500 electric buses annually.
