Mukesh Ambani Commends Shloka Mehta's Contribution at Gems and Jewellery Event

Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, lauded Shloka Mehta, daughter-in-law of the Ambani family, during his address at the Gems and Jewellery Exports Promotion event in Mumbai. The event, attended by industry leaders and dignitaries including Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais, showcased the achievements of the gems and jewellery sector and discussed its future prospects.

During his speech, Ambani highlighted Shloka Mehta’s lineage, noting that she is the daughter of Russel Mehta of Rosyblue, a pioneering company in the sector. He expressed gratitude for having Shloka in the Ambani family, describing her as someone who “radiates warmth and wisdom.” Mehta was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the event, recognizing her contributions to the industry.

Ambani’s remarks also reflected his optimism about the gems and jewellery sector’s potential. He expressed confidence that the industry would surpass its current achievements and reach the ambitious target of USD 100 billion in exports in the coming years. He praised the industry for its role in generating USD 40 billion in exports and creating over 50 lakh jobs in India, acknowledging the efforts of the Palanpur community in driving this growth.

Highlighting the importance of collaboration, Ambani spoke about potential partnerships between Kathiawadis and Palanpuris, referring to the shared heritage of the Ambani family with Kathiawad roots. He emphasized the need for collective efforts to build a stronger and more inclusive India, aligning with the vision set by the Prime Minister for a fully developed nation in the coming decades.

Ambani’s words resonated with the audience, reflecting a sense of optimism and commitment towards the growth of the gems and jewellery industry.
