Thiruvananthapuram: Sajeev Elambal, a prominent figure in the media industry, has been honored with a national award by Bharath Sevak Samaj (BSS), a body under the national planning board. The award recognizes his outstanding directorial work in two acclaimed documentaries: Gurudevan Murukkumpuzhayil and Snehardram.
Gurudevan Murukkumpuzhayil delves into the historical significance of Sree Narayana Gurudeva’s Akshara Prathishta at Murukkumpuzha, while Snehardram portrays the lives of the residents of Kottarakkara Marthoma Jubilee Mandiram. Both documentaries have been praised for their depth and sensitivity.
Sajeev received the award from BSS National Chairman Dr. B.S. Balachandran at a ceremony held at the BSS Auditorium in Thiruvananthapuram. Beginning his career in television, Sajeev has garnered multiple accolades for his contributions to the media. He also wrote the script for the world record-winning short film Kutti Daivam.
Hailing from Elampal village in Kollam district, Sajeev is married to Suchithra, and they have a son, Ayush Krishna.
