A full emergency was declared at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport on Wednesday morning after a bomb threat was reported on an Air India flight arriving from Mumbai. The aircraft, carrying 135 passengers, landed safely at around 8 a.m. and was immediately directed to an isolation bay.

According to airport sources, the pilot communicated the bomb threat to authorities at 7:30 a.m., as the flight was approaching the airport. In response, a full emergency was declared at 7:36 a.m. The passengers were safely evacuated from the aircraft by 8:44 a.m.

The emergency response did not result in any injuries or impact on airport operations, which continue uninterrupted. Authorities are currently investigating the origin of the threat and gathering further details.
