L&T Technology Services (LTTS) Secures ₹800 Crore Project from Maharashtra Government for Digital Threat Analytics Center

L&T Technology Services (LTTS), the engineering services arm of infrastructure giant L&T, has landed a significant ₹800 crore project from the Maharashtra government to establish a digital threat analytics center. This initiative aims to enhance public safety against cyber threats by providing advanced cyber security solutions.

LTTS has partnered with KPMG Assurance and Consulting Services LLP as a forensics partner to deliver cutting-edge cyber security solutions for the state. According to a statement, this project is a first-of-its-kind program in India and aligns with LTTS’s vision of developing digitally interconnected smart and safe cities through comprehensive cyber security and digital forensic solutions.

The project encompasses the design of a sophisticated cybersecurity system and the establishment of a cyber security and cybercrime prevention center. This center will address cybercrime incidents and investigations by leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and digital forensic tools. LTTS’s CEO and Managing Director, Amit Chadha, expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity, citing the company’s extensive experience in setting up command centers and recognizing the growing importance of cybersecurity.

The deal also includes the creation of a Digital Threat Analytics Center along with a Center of Excellence. These facilities will equip the forensic team with advanced tools for detecting deepfake content, conducting mobile malware forensics, investigating Internet of Things (IoT) devices, and analyzing network forensics. Additionally, a Central Emergency Response Team will be established for incident response and investigation purposes.

This significant project not only underscores LTTS’s commitment to cybersecurity but also positions the company to expand its offerings for global clients. As a result of this development, LTTS’s stock witnessed a 1.62% increase, trading at ₹5,350 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) at 1044 hrs on Friday.

The establishment of this state-of-the-art digital threat analytics center signifies a proactive step by the Maharashtra government towards bolstering cybersecurity infrastructure and safeguarding against evolving cyber threats.
